What an incredible opportunity we had to stay on Hank and Mariangela’s beautiful and idyllic villa. Incredible views, fantastic hospitality and a beautiful home — we could not have asked for a more perfect location to spend our time during our visit to Zion National Park. Our family joined Hank for a tour of his property and on to an amazing sunset. Lots of beautiful touches in their home, including lots of musical instruments, board games/puzzles and a library. The home has a very well stocked kitchen and Hank even includes three rolling coolers to use.

True North was such an amazing experience for me and my family while vacationing in Zion! Such a beautiful home in an even more beautiful place! Thanks to hank and his wife for being such amazing hosts! Hank has all wonderful Zion wisdom and is willing to share, which makes it even more fun and adds to the list of experiences and adventures you’ll already have while visiting! 10/10 would recommend!!! We will definitely visit again and would love to use the Zion Villa again if available!!

What an experience at True North! Hank was an amazing host and all 10 of us who stayed at True North strongly agree. We all had an epic time from hiking, to ATV, hot tub, cooking, and enjoying this property (there’s plenty of activities in the property as well). Check in was smooth and Hank made us all feel at home immediately from start to finish. It will be hard to find a better stay when visiting Zion. If you are open to recommendations, Hank is extremely useful. The views on this property is absolutely breathtaking. Everyone enjoyed the 15 minute hike to watch the sunset every evening (the view is spectacular). A memorable long weekend for everyone. We will be back for sure !! Thanks again!!

No words could describe how beautiful this house is. Soo cozy and well maintained. You can go for a hike just out the doors, to wake up in the morning with those beautiful rocky mountain views is amazing. We were near so many nice locations of interest in Zion (all Zion is) if you don’t want to drive you don’t even have to do it. Hank, the owner is so nice and welcoming, guiding us to hikes and beautiful scenic drives. We were a big family staying there and the space was perfect, the huge dinner table was the main point of reunion, playing card at night. I loved the leather couch in front of the chimney. The kitchen was large enough for 5 lady’s cooking breakfast and the house is well equipped with everything you will need. I feel like it has so much history or that’s the way they build it to look. Looking forward to coming back soon. Thank you Hank, our visit was amazing and unique.

Book this place!! We had a group of 11 and everyone was amazed by the beauty of this villa - both the outside views (and hot tub!) and the indoor decor and amenities. This place is charming, cozy, and soothing, but can also become a space for high energy as well - especially with the drums! The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals. The living area and bedrooms were warm and inviting. Last but certainly not least, Hank was a great, friendly, kind, and super helpful host. He was there for us when we needed him, even driving to point out a hiking spot we were interested in. But he also gave us ample space and let us do our thing. All in all, I’ve stayed at a lot of Airbnbs and this was definitely one of my favorites!

Hanks AirBnB, True North, is a special and magical place. We were a group of 9 people - friends for over 30 years and had one of the best reunions imaginable. The place itself is perfect for such a group. Three couples took the 3 queen bedrooms and there were 2 other bedrooms for the singles. We had more than enough room. The kitchen is well-appointed to where we cooked every meal during our stay. The main living/dining area is relaxing and comfortable too. The place is off-grid, but it is as modern, convenient and comfortable as any on-grid place you will find. But inside living is just a small part of the experience at True North . You experience one of the crown jewels of the US National Parks in near privacy. A short hike on the property itself brings you a vista of million-dollar views. This side of the park is remote private and quiet - a major difference from being just an "ant marching" in a mass of people on a trail inside the main section of Zion (which isn't to take away from that experience at all - The main part of Zion is a lifetime experience). We hiked every day. We ebiked inside the main part of the park too. And at the end of the day came back to wind down and experience a sunset and a dark sky filled with stars countless and bright. You will not find a host as kind and thoughtful as Hank. Hank made sure we all had a great time. Give us inside tips to ensure our trip went smoothly. And each day went out of his way to check-in and confirm all was well. Hank made us feel like we were welcomed long-time friends and seemed as excited by us being there as we were to be there. I feel lucky to have had the chance to experience Hank's True North.

All eight of us were glad we chose this special retreat surrounded by the beauty of Zion National Park. The advantage of the location is that we could take day hikes without navigating through the crowds at the main park corridor. Hank was so gracious to answer all our questions about the area and to suggest trails and activities based on group’s desires. Since we were “on vacation “ we took advantage of hiring suggested chefs for two nights. Such a treat and better than going out to eat. Many thanks to our hosts for making their tranquil retreat available to the public. We would love to return.

I can’t say enough about how caring, kind and amazing Hank is. His place is perfect for Zion with many hikes right outside the front door. We literally didn’t even have to go fight the masses at the tourist hikes. His local knowledge and willingness to share are worth the price of admission. Then you also get the amazing retreat they have built. Lots of space, warm inviting sitting areas and just a class act all around. I strongly recommend staying with Hank on your trip to Zion.

This was an amazing house with breathtaking views. The host was so warm and friendly and helpful. We did many of the things he suggested and spent a lot of time just enjoying the surroundings, the house , and relaxIng. There was so much to do and see; we wished we could have stayed longer!

Don’t second guess booking this spectacular home. Plenty of room for a group of 12. Location is second to none and the views from all around the property, especially at night and early morning, are breathtaking. Hank was a great host who answered all our questions while also respecting the groups privacy during the stay. Hope to be here again one day! FYI- make sure to take a walk out to the overlook close to the property. You won’t be disappointed.

Hank and Mariangela were the very best hosts! This Airbnb was by far the best place I have ever stayed. The house and experience were beyond spectacular. It was clean, beautiful, and the perfect tucked away getaway spot. The views were like nothing you could even imagine, and the stars at night were even better. The hot tub was perfect after a long day’s hike. Hank’s communication was super helpful and quick. He helped us understand local hikes and spots to explore and taught us about the surrounding mountains. He respected our privacy and made us feel so welcomed. I recommend this to anyone - don’t miss out! We will definitely be back.

This was the best Airbnb we have ever stayed in. The location is phenomenal and Hank is the best host you could ask for! We had a blast exploring the areas around the property as well as the park itself. We could not recommend this stay more!

Perfect family retreat! Hank is the best host hands down. In Italy I had some reservations in that we might disturb them as we have a few loud folks in our family - they insisted we be ourselves and we felt relaxed and at home the entire time. Words cannot express the perfection of this location - smack dab in the center of the Kolob Canyon wing of Zion. Hike without crowds, watch the sunrise and set in your own private sanctuary. We all cannot imagine experiencing Zion any other way. Thank you Hank & Maryangela for sharing your home and hearts with us 🙏🏼💞

The most incredible Airbnb place I have ever stayed. Hank and Angies home is in the National park and have amazing views and hikes on the property. The house is beautiful and has everything you could ever want. We can’t wait to be back

We are a family of 6 (plus 2 friends) and stayed at this wonderful property from 6/16-6/21/2020. The house is off the grid, but you will find there is plenty of everything - water, refrigeration, A/C, electricity. You are surrounded by Zion sandstone and complete peace. The views of the valley below are incredible and the overlook, a short walk west, is unlike anything I've ever seen. You will really appreciate the sunsets there!

The hosts are incredibly friendly, available, but respectful of your privacy. They are also an invaluable resource for information about local attractions including caves and ancient pictographs.

I would highly, highly recommend this for anyone looking to disconnect, but to disconnect in comfort and style.

This house is truly amazing. We stayed for 4 nights and I wish we could have stayed for a month. The house has almost everything you would need and the decor is fabulous. The surrounding grounds are stunning and we enjoyed hiking Zion from the backyard and up the street. Hank is an unbelievable host. He went out of his way to show us unique hikes and get us situated for larger Zion expeditions. Our kids loved his cat, too! I’m already plotting how I can get back to True North. I’ve been many places and this is at the top.

Hands down one of the best Airbnb places my family and I have stayed. The house was really clean and beautiful. It is also located in a private area away from people and backyard is the best. Hank was very accommodating. He helped us plan our day trips and was always there when we had questions, or needed help. Will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Zion.

Our large group of adults, children, and dogs are in love with this cozy home and beautiful location! The hot tub was a huge hit with everyone and the view of the stars were breathtaking! Kids and adults also got a pretty mean jam session going with all of the fun instruments left around the home for your use.

Hank was so helpful and welcoming! He had lots of recommendations and was easy to get in touch with if we had any questions.

The hikes right out the front door were so much fun. The kids had fun exploring the nearby caves Hank was so nice to point out.

We loved this home so much, we are already talking about our next adventure back. The only thing we would have changed about our trip is the length of our stay, Zion is so beautiful you really need a few days or more to enjoy it! We will definitely be back!!

My family could not have asked for a better experience. The location is as good as it gets - you are in the middle of so many incredible hikes, many literally starting 100 yards from the house. We hiked all over Zion and honestly, our best hikes were the ones by the house. It just feels authentic. On top of that, you could not ask for a more generous host than Hank. He met us on one of our hikes and acted as a personal guide and even gave my boys a deer antler he found before we left.

The location is spectacular. If you want to feel immersed in the terrain and the scenery, then this is the place for you. The host, Hank, is a lovely person and will take good care of you. There are ample walks and views right out the front door, with walking sticks and binoculars at hand for you. It fit our party of 9 perfectly (and could handle a couple more with ease).

I rented Hank’s space for an intimate women’s yoga retreat. This space was magical. Everything was intentionally placed and this space feels sacred. Hank also assisted me in finding a chef, massage therapist, and a tour company that took our trip to the next level. All of the attendees continuously said how beautiful and cozy it was. The stars and wide open sky are beyond anything you will see in most places in America. This area gives you the real Zion experience with trails all along the road this space is located. I will definitely bring people back to this beautiful space again. Worth every single penny!

Excellent location with spectacular views of Tabernacle Dome across the road and Lambs Knoll . The pictures do not do Hanks house justice. We were only 25or 30 minutes away from the crowds at the main entrance the park. Hank is an affable host. If you can get here.....GO.

The villa served as the venue for a college reunion I organized for 2 of my classmates and their wives (Air Force Academy Class of 1974). This was an outstanding experience for us all. Hank was the perfect host and went to great lengths to make our stay memorable. The villa, located within the NW section of Zion National Park, was perfect to getaway from the crowds, but at the same time close enough to easily see all the sights we wanted to visit. Hank also went to the trouble of describing nearby caves and the petroglyphs they contain. He then led us to the site and turned us loose to explore on our own. I think I speak for my classmates and their wives when I say that the Zion Villa was as exceptional as everything I read in previous reviews. Thank you Hank for a wonderful, lasting memory.

Words and photos can only begin to describe the wonderfully uniqueness of this vacation spot. No matter where you are inside and outside, there are amazing vistas of mountains, landscape, and sky. It is far enough away from the crowds to provide quiet and solitude but close enough that everything is within a 30 minute drive. Hank is a terrific host and everything he recommended was as described. True North will be our home for all future visits to Zion!

We had four adults and five kids aged 15-9. The property was beautiful and the kids loved having a large area to play. There are nice walks/hikes from the property. The house is comfortable and we didn’t feel like we were missing anything. The owners are very kind, helpful and knowledgeable providing guidance to the local things our families wanted to experience. We highly recommend this house And we’re glad we weren’t right in town. We would come back. Thanks for the great experience Hank!
